VERTICAL FARMING

Now-a-days due to the increase in population, the agricultural lands are turning into residential areas. Vertical farming provides a solution for this problem. Vertical farming is the technique of growing plants and crops in various levels of tall buildings that are located in the middle of the city. In this technique, the roots are not in the soil, but they grow in a nutrition rich solution. The main challenge is that how sunlight would penetrate these tall buildings and how it would be evenly distributed while artificial lights can cost a lot. Crops that are grown in traditional outdoor farming suffer from meteorological events such as undesirable amount of rainfall, temperature which might vanish the crop in some situation. The major disadvantage is to construct such an atmosphere for the crops to grow.
